How we work

We are a close-knit family-run business, meaning from the initial phone call to the finished product, you will be dealing with one of our partners. We pride ourselves on building close relationships with our customers and will guide you through every stage of the making of your furniture.

Our team will put together a detailed quote that approaches the project from start to finish, as well as a clear manufacturing timeline. We usually ask for an initial deposit to cover the cost of materials and there are flexible payment options to explore, including payment in stages for larger projects.

Design

It all begins with a design vision. You may already have a clear idea of what you want from your bespoke furniture or you may need some inspiration. Either way, we can help. We will discuss your requirements, offer advice and create free-hand sketches, before going on to produce full-scale designs with your custom specifications, materials and finishes.

Manufacture

Once you are happy with the designs, we will begin handcrafting your furniture from our workshop in Royston. We work with the utmost care and precision, using high-quality, sustainably-sourced solid wood and time-honoured furniture-making techniques to create unique luxury items.

Fit

We will personally deliver your order and expertly fit the furniture in your home. Our bespoke kitchens and furniture are built to last so you will receive a guarantee, as well as guidance on how to look after it. Of course, Millside is always available to provide advice thereafter. We are proud to say that many of our customers come back to us time and again and recommend us to friends and family.
